My, how the mighty have fallen

The Redbirds are not so good this year and as a result they will be sending just one representative to the 2016 All-Star Game in San Diego-that one lucky guy is Matt Carpenter. Congrats Marp! This marks only the 10th time since the Mid-Year Classic started in 1933 this has happened and not since 2007 when Albert Pujols was the lone Redbird Rep.

  1. The Pirates only got one this year as well (Melancon). Both Marte and Polanco were good candidates but the outfield is crowded and everyone has to have a rep.

    1. Something has to change-this is why I don't watch it any more. I am not a fan of fan voting. I want to see the best, not folks who get in from ballot stuffing-this includes Cardinals.

  2. I was not shocked they only got one, but thought someone else would have been a final vote option. Piscotty, Diaz, or Martinez are having decent seasons

    1. Diaz would been good-though Marp is deserved of the honor, but now he is hurt?

  3. Carp out, Diaz named as replacement

  4. Welcome to my world B. Pretty sure both of my teams are sending only one guy too.
