No Es Bueno

All was going well in the Birds-Brewers game last night until we saw this.

A simple pop up could end Waino's season and give hope to Cardinals' rivals and haters. We knew it didn't look good-he could barely walk and the first words that came to our mouths were "no es bueno". Hopefully the Redbirds can weather this storm, use some of their pitching depth and win for Waino-on the bright side I rather see this now that at the end of August or beginning of September as the Birds would be hopefully heading to the post-season. Sure will miss this,

and this,
and this,
and last but not least this.

  1. This year, for the first time in about 15 years, I decided in fantasy baseball to spend money on pitching. I went for two big aces, three other top starters, and two more lower end guys. One of my aces was Wainwright. It would figure that me, as a Brewers fan, would get Waino when he got hurt.

I'm sorry for you as a Cardinals fan that he got hurt, and I'm sorry for Wainwright too. The Brewers appears horrible beyond all hope this year, so it won't even help my team. Just sucks all the way around.

  2. This will bring up a lot more ban the pitcher hitting commentary. I was upset to see this. At least the Cardinals have the resources to fill the void from within. Wouldn't be surprised if they made a big move at the trade deadline for an "ace" that has an expiring contract.
