Before there was A&G Pastimes Pastimes there was Pinnacle Sidelines
I found this card sorting through some "Junk Wax" and I fell in love with this subset from 1992 Pinnacle.
Here are a bunch more-though the design isn't as good as the A&G inserts the pastimes are far more interesting, perhaps because the contracts were more reasonable and they had no reason to try to give their money away.
Those "trophies" are from a blog called Baseball Card Bust, where they basically make fun of tons of different cards from all eras.
The motor bike card of Robin Yount reminds me of the "welcome home" parade after the 1982 World Series loss when Yount unexpected tore in to Milwaukee County Stadium on his dirt bike and gave Bud Selig several heart attacks.
Please note I have no idea where there are Topps like trophies on the cards, but until I get a scanner I have to make due with Google Images
ReplyDeleteI forgot about those. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you I may actually write a review of the lot the Tewks card came in

Tony that story is hi-oar-ious. I love Milwaukee don't think I mentioned that, but one of my bucket lists is to go to a Friday night fish fry.
DeleteI love the 80s sweater and the Kenny Loggins look a like!
