So now the election season is over, at least for the next two years, and the vomit has receded from my throat since seeing the Cubs win the World Series. I thought a few weeks ago that I would catalogue Cardinals' autos and relics. I mean how could this take long? Well this wouldn't be the first time I miscalculated the time it takes to accomplish a task-though this I don't think is the issue. I think the issue is that I was being naive. Either way it is a sisyphean task.
Man what do you speak about? Well I am only through 2003, though not necessarily an exhaustive list since I may have missed a few, or uncertain whether a player such as Ted Simmons was depicted as a Redbird or a Brewer-with out trying to find an image-however I am certain the numbers aren't that far off. So drum roll please.....through 2003 I have put in a spread sheet 857 Cardinals' unique autographs! This includes parallels.
and 1192 Relic/Game Used Cards all of which are unique, though this includes parallels. Both lists include dual Auto/Relic-Game used cards.
Good luck with the project. I do not envy you trying to figure out all the Triple Thread cards.
ReplyDeleteI know-I think I may have to call it in 2010-
DeleteI would love to catalog my cards... but that's not going to happen anytime soon, because half of my collection is sitting at my parent's house over 300 miles away. I did however buy a scanner for my father earlier in the year, so now I can scan cards there instead of carry them home like I used to.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck on your cataloging!
P.S. Love that Vince Coleman autograph! And that Bazooka One Liners relic is pretty sweet too.
Hey Fuji, Smart move on you part-I think this would be a good project in your retirement :) Are you going to the San Leandro show?
DeleteThere's a San Leandro show? When? Where? Are you going?
Deleteemailed ya the details
